Robert Allan Foster, 85, passed away on October 29, 2022, in Nokomis, Florida. He was born on June 12, 1937, in Detroit, MI to Allan and Dorothy (Rauer) Foster. Robert graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1957 and joined the United States Navy. After the Navy, he began working for Almore Corporation. In 1985, Robert relocated to Nokomis, Florida and purchased Ingles Iron and Wire and later named it Woven Wire Manufacturing. Robert was a member of Slow Spokes Antique Car Club and the Venice Coin and Currency Club. He enjoyed his lifelong collections of automobiles, antique photographs, clocks, watches, and coins. He is preceded in death by his parents Allan and Dorothy Foster. Robert is survived by his siblings Stephen (Linda) Foster and sister Susan (Richard) Cervi. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 10AM to 11AM. A service will follow.
