Leonard Lewis “Lenny” Alden, age 74, of Venice, Florida, passed away on January 5, 2023. He was born on April 18, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA. Lenny lived in Export, PA prior to moving to Venice in 1970. Retired, he was the prior owner of L&L Drywall, Inc for 44 years. Lenny mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, but also loved watching sports, fishing with his son, bowling, going to the beach and being a race car owner. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as an MP based at Sandia Military Base for two years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie Ruof Alden; a daughter, Peggy Beasley and her husband, Ricky; a son, Brad Alden and his wife, Kim; a granddaughter, Jessica Hall and her husband, Dylan; two grandsons, Eric Beasley and Austin Alden; a brother, Larry Alden and his wife, Bev; a sister, Carolee Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews. Lenny was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Stell Alden; his brother, Jerry Alden and his sister, Priscilla. There are no planned services. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
