Gregory Roland Shanika, age 78, son of Leo and Rose Shanika died peacefully January 3, 2023. He is survived by nieces, nephews and great and grand nieces and nephews. Greg was immensely proud of his academic achievements. He was the youngest of four brothers, Leo, Tom, and Ronny. Their father passed when Greg was in high school. While living with, and caring for, his mother he graduated Magna Cum Laude from McBride High School , St. Louis and received degrees from the University of Missouri St. Louis and Washington University, St. Louis. He was a respected and dedicate member of his communities and served on numerous boards including the Heart Wellness Center Venice, Florida. He was a beloved uncle serving as an advisor, mentor, and friend. He was a devoted husband to his wife Chiara. They shared fifty-two wonderful years together. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. The family requests that tributes in his name be shared with the charity of your choice.
