William “Bill” Jerome Comstock age 92 of Venice, FL formally of Jefferson City, MO passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023. He was born on October 31, 1930, in Marston, MO to Gerald and Ellen Comstock. Bill was a decorated Sergeant Major receiving two bronze stars and two purple hearts, he retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years of service. William is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Ellen Comstock; brother Gerald Comstock; sisters Mary Boyet, Glenda Pechman, and Magdalen Sorbello. Left to cherish his memory are his sister Margaret Kerckhoff of Venice, FL; brother Ronald Comstock of Perryville, MO; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11 am at Sarasota National Cemetery.
