Patricia “Pat” Gardner Ebert age 81, of Venice, FL passed away peacefully on January 17th, 2023. She was born on March 23rd, 1941, in the Ardmore district of Winston-Salem, NC she was the oldest of five children. She graduated from RJ Reynolds High School where she was a part of the National Honor Society and a member of Ardmore Moravian Church. Pat went on to get her bachelor’s from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her master’s from Georgia State University. Pat worked as a schoolteacher in Washington D.C and later taught for the Oil Companies School in Tripoli, Libya. Pat went on to work as a corporate executive for BellSouth/AT&T for 25 years where she worked internationally in Amsterdam and Brussels for various stints. She lived in many other places such as Cincinnati, OH, and Dayton, OH before settling down in Atlanta, GA where she made her home until retirement in 2004. After retirement, Pat worked for Home Depot and Advance Auto and then moved to Venice, FL in 2021. Pat enjoyed gardening, socializing, music, and traveling. Pat was many things but most importantly she was a loving mother to three daughters and a loving grandmom to three grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Linda Semple of Austin, TX, Kimberly McMillan of Englewood, FL, and Christine McMillan of Venice, FL; grandchildren Madeline Semple of Austin, TX, Macey Semple of Austin, TX, and Jared Tanner of Venice, FL; siblings Ellen Ebert of Rancho Palos Verde, CA, Cindy Reid of Tallahassee, FL, and Fred Ebert of Charlotte, NC. A visitation will be held Monday, January 23rd, 2023, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, FL.
