Casel L. Harmon “Cas” age 90 of Venice, FL passed away on January 30th, 2023. Cas was born in Boone, NC on November 25th, 1932, to Roosevelt and Mary Harmon. Cas was a proud Army veteran serving two years overseas in Japan. After his stint in the Army, Cas worked for Miami Valley Milk Producers Association for 12 years and then General Motors for 26 years until his retirement in 1995. Cas was a Sunday school teacher at the Church of Nazarene for many years. He was also an avid bicyclist logging in over 140,000 miles, he biked until the age of 84. He will be remembered as a godly man who was always available to help, he leaves behind many heavy hearts who rejoice for him knowing that he is with the Lord he loved for so long. Cas is preceded in death by his parents Roosevelt and Mary Harmon; brothers Celmer and JD Harmon. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years Peggy Harmon of Venice, FL; sons Rick (Anita) of Summerville, SC, Tony (Kerry) of Dowling Park, FL, and Larry (Lisa) of West Carrollton, OH; brother Ed Harmon of Aiken, SC; sisters Jewell Gragg and Ruth Townsend both of Lenoir, NC; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 18th, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Venice Church of the Nazarene. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice at https://tidewellfoundation.org/donate/.
