Raymond N. Sindone, 87, passed away in Venice, FL on February 20, 2023. He was born on April 24, 1935 in Syracuse, NY, to Dominick and Helen (Mingolelli) Sindone. Raymond graduated from North High School in 1953. Ray was an owner/operator with his father and brother of Sindone and Son’s Dry Cleaning in Syracuse, NY and later was a department supervisor at BG Sulzle for 20 years. Raymond was in the National Guard from 1954-1966. He married his wife Edwina Alletzhauser in 1967. He and Edwina have spent winters in Venice, FL and summers in Alexandria Bay, Thousand Islands, NY since 2005. Raymond was an avid bowler and golfer. He also was an antique boat owner and a member of the Antique Boat Museum Association of America in Clayton, NY. He also enjoyed camping and snowmobiling in the Adirondack Mountains, NY. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ray was also an avid NY Yankee fan, as well as a dedicated Syracuse University basketball fan. Raymond is predeceased by his parents Dominick and Helen Sindone and brother James Sindone. He is survived by his wife Edwina Sindone, daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Loop, son Raymond (Marilyn) Sindone, son Daniel (Deborah), grandchildren Alexander Sindone, Adeline Sindone, and Elise Sindone, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A service will be held at a later date.
