Kelvin (Kelly) Warren Wolfe, 80, passed away on March 18, 2023, in Venice, FL. He was born on December 11, 1942, in Akron, OH to Darwin and Mabel (Warren) Wolfe. Kelly graduated from Fairpark High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1960. He served in the Marine Corps, married the love of his life Janet Cagle in 1964, and graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business in 1971. Kelly and Janet moved their family to Oak Grove, Louisiana to start his career in agricultural finance helping farmers while working with the FHA. His career took him to Memphis, Tennessee working with Agristor, the financial subsidiary of A.O. Smith. He retired from A.O Smith in Brookfield, Wisconsin and opened an art store with Janet in Charleston, South Carolina in 1986. He and Janet relocated to Venice, FL in 1995. Kelly had a lifelong love and appreciation of art, touring galleries wherever he travelled. He passed this love on to his children and grandchildren. He was an artist himself, sharing his creativity through his art gallery, SAGE, in Englewood FL, and filling his home (and his children’s homes) with his paintings. Kelly’s second passion was France and all things French. He and Janet travelled to France many times, making cherished friends with each visit. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and a fantastic storyteller. Kelvin is predeceased by his parents Darwin and Mabel Wolfe. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet Wolfe, children Kecia (Joe) Younts, Kamie (Michael) Schwier, and John (Ana) Wolfe, grandchildren Raven Wolfe, Jacob Younts, Zachary Younts, MaryRose Schwier, and Lillie Schwier, brother Darwin D. Wolfe, and many friends and extended family. There will be a graveside service held at Venice Memorial Gardenson May 26, 2023 at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Tidewell Hospice and St. Jude.
