Peter “Scapp” James Scappatura age 81 of Venice, FL passed away on April 1, 2023. He was born on February 28, 1942, in Port Chester, NY where he lived for most of his life. Peter was a proud Army veteran, and many may remember him as a music promoter for Flounders restaurant. Peter may have had a gruff exterior, but he was a loving man who deeply cared for his family and animals. He often came across as a stubborn and sometimes sarcastic man but underneath he had a heart of gold. Peter is preceded in death by his parents Dominic and Louise Scappatura as well as many pets. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sharon Rosaforte; son Keith Scappatura; daughter Michele Scappatura; grandchildren Alexandria, Anthony, and Quinn; sister Angela (Joe) Gatto; and nephews Jimmy, Johnny, and Joey There will be no public services, and the family encourages everyone to celebrate Peter’s life in their own way.
