Aleksey (Alex) Vladimirovich Knyazev passed from this life unexpectedly on April 17th, 2023, while visiting his parents in Venice, Florida. Alex was born in Kishinev, Moldova, on March 4th, 1981, to Vladimir and Tatyana Knyazev, and moved to Alaska with his parents and sister in 1993. Most recently, Alex lived in Oregon, where he worked as an electrician. Alex leaves behind a family who have loved and supported him through the ups and downs of his varied life. Growing up, Alex was a capable athlete who loved playing basketball and wrestling. He enjoyed team sports and the competition, though his passion was making new friends and the fellowship of his teammates. He was a talented poet, writing in both English and Russian for his friends and church fellowships. Alex graduated from East Anchorage High School, Alaska. He attended University of Alaska Anchorage for two years before deciding to switch to a trade school and becoming a licensed journeyman electrician. In the last two years of his life, he actively participated in church activities in his new home town, Boring, as well as taking a leadership role at Grace in Action (International), a charitable organization that strives to help those who have life-controlling problems. He generously offered his personal time, resources, and energy to fellow brothers and sisters he had worked alongside. Alex will be lovingly remembered for his compassion and love for others. He had a huge smile and never failed to entertain. He was like a brother to everyone, and his legacy will be the joy and laughter he brought to so many. Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 25th by sending an email to [email protected]. In lieu of flowers, please donate to: https://graceinaction.international/.
