Domenica Lily Medico Schulz Scarpulla, a beloved resident of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on June 17, 2023, in Sarasotasurrounded by her family. Born on December 5, 1957, in Yonkers, New York, she was the cherished daughter of Christine and the late John J. Medico, Jr.Domenica's journey was one of remarkable achievements and profound impact. She embarked on her educational pursuits at Florida Southern College, where she honed her skills and cultivated a thirst for knowledge, ultimately completing her studies at Thomas Edison State University. Over the course of her distinguished 35-year career, she held several notable positions that showcased her exceptional leadership abilities. Domenica's accomplishments included serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of Brandon Systems Corporation, Regional Vice President at The Adecco Group, and Senior Vice President and Executive Team Member of The Siegfried Group, where she dedicated the last 17 years of her professional life.She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Domenica is survived by her mother, Christine Medico; her devoted brothers, Peter, John, Christian, and Michael Medico; her children, Elizabeth Schulz Sawyer, Alexandra Scarpulla, andStephen Scarpulla; her adored grandson, William Sawyer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also a loving fur mommy to her beloved shih tzus, Daisy and Gizmo, and ragdoll cats, Tula and Princeton.Beyond her professional achievements, Domenica was an exceptional woman who found joy in creativity, family, and supporting others. She possessed an innate ability to bring people together and always sought to uplift those around her. Whether it was designing beautiful homes, organizing memorable events, or simply being there for others, Domenica's impact on both personal and professional levels was immeasurable. She served as a role model to countless individuals and embodied the essence of a strong woman in business and in life.A funeral service to celebrate Domenica's life will be held on Monday, June 26, at 11:00am at St. Michael the Archangelon Siesta Key. Following the service, entombmentwill take place at Venice Memorial Gardens at 1:00pm. A reception will then be held at Selby Botanical Gardens at 5:00pm, providing an opportunity for family, friends, and colleagues to honor and remember Domenica.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be madein Domenica’s memory to the Tidewell Foundation at www.tidewellfoundation.comor mailed to 3550 S.
