Richard Alan Beharrell, age 81, of Venice, FL, passed away on July 12, 2023. He was born on February 21, 1942, in Concord, MA to Reed O. and Helen P, Beharrell. Dick graduated from Concord, MA High School in 1960. He earned a BS in Health/Physical Education from the University of Mississippi and spent several years teaching in Jacksonville, FL, where he met his wife, Sue. Dick left the teaching profession and entered the business world. He retired from the Raytheon Company in 1998 as a Division Compensation Supervisor. Dick was an avid golfer from an early age. He began caddying at Concord Country Club when he was 10 years old. He went on to letter on the golf team at the University of Mississippi, was a 3-time Club Champion at Nashawtuc CC in Concord, MA, scored 3 holes in one in his golf career and was a member and served on the Board of Directors at Mission Valley CC. Surviving family members include his wife of 55 years, Nellie “Sue” Beharrell; brothers William R. Beharrell and his wife Gail, and Peter O. Beharrell and his wife Virginia; brothers in law Richard Unruh and his wife Deborah, and Ross Unruh and his wife Mary Lou; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to TideWell Hospice.
