Carole Huiss Armstrong, age 87, of Venice, Florida, passed away on July 31, 2023. She was born on April 21, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the secretary to the Superintendent of Valley Central School in Montgomery, NY and retired in 1993 and she then moved to Venice from Wallkill, NY in 2000. Carole was a member of the Venice Presbyterian Church, retiree from Valley Central School District and was also a world traveler & crafter. She is survived by her daughter, Cathie (Tom) Fischer; daughter-in-law, Janet Clarkson; step-daughter, Kathy (Eric) Michalak; step-sons, David Armstrong and Craig Armstrong and sister-in-law, Donna Armstrong Flowers. Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Armstrong; parents, George & Viola Huiss; brother, George Huiss and son, Tom Clarkson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Venice Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Venice Presbyterian Church, 825 The Rialto, Venice, Florida 34285.
