Christine Patricia (Slater) Masura, 55, of Nokomis, FL passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. Christine was born on February 4, 1968, in New London, CT, and moved to beautiful Venice, FL in 1976. She is survived by her partner, Frank Masura, their 3 children, Dan, Timothy, and Marcy Maura, as well as her four siblings: Wendy Slater (Venice, FL), Pamela Slater Flynn (New London, CT), Eric Slater (Sarasota, FL), and Bruce Slater (Sarasota, FL), and four nieces and a nephew (Caitlin Flynn, Patrick Flynn, Caroline Flynn, Sarah Slater and Mary Slater. Christine was predeceased by her parents, George and Patrica Slater of Venice, FL Christine graduated from Venice High School in 1986 and Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL in 1990. After graduation, Christine joined her parents at Raeburn Real Estate in Venice, FL for many years, before moving on to work in the office at Frank’s Heating and Cooling. Christine was a true animal lover, having had many cats, rabbits, birds and dogs over the years. A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 10:00AM-11:00AM with the funeral service to follow at 11:00AM.
