Glenn Allen Miller, age 73, of Englewood, Florida, passed away on October 9, 2023. He was born on July 7, 1950 in Houma, Louisiana to Mack Lloyd Miller and Marie (Cornell) Miller. Glenn served in the U.S. Army for 3 years from August 1968 to August 1974 and he was awarded the Purple Heart and three Bronze Service Stars. Afterwards he settled down in Sacramento, California where he worked at the Water District and became a director for which he retired after working for 25 years and in 2006 Glenn moved to Englewood, Florida. He volunteered as a counselor of the younger veterans and the domestic violence victims. Glenn was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter #759 in Port Charlotte, Florida and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter # 1032. Glen is survived by his significant other, Alice Treger; stepmom, Lily Miller of Ohio and a step-brother, Norman Miller of Ohio. A memorial gathering will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 10:00AM-12:00PM.
