Elizabeth Lynn “Betsy” Young, born on March 24, 1974 in St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on October 24, 2023 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida at the age of 49. Born and raised in Florida she was a graduate of Florida State University, undergraduate and Law School, former assistant state attorney for the 12th Judicial Circuit, partner at the Young Law Group, vice president and secretary of Sarasota Chapter of FACDL and former candidate for state attorney. Betsy is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Young of Lakewood Ranch; two daughters, Kara Young, Jada Sinphay both of Lakewood Ranch; her parents, John and Linda Sanguinett of St. Petersburg; her brother, Paul Sanguinett of North Carolina and many other family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Sarasota Yacht Club on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2:00PM-4:00PM. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org) or Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue (nateshonoranimalrescue.org).
