Maryanne, 77, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Hicksville, New York, a devout Catholic, passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2023, following a two year battle with lung cancer. Beloved wife of Warren Goldberg, loving mother to Robin Hertach (Adam) and Denise Goldberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Meade. Survived by brothers, Marty, Barry, Sean and sister, Bernadette, along with a large extended family as well as countless loyal friends. She dedicated many years to the PTA and was a coach for Catholic Youth Organization. She retired as an Executive Assistant at Chase Bank and was a passionate volunteer for several animal shelters (enjoying fostering kittens). There will be a gathering of friends at Farley Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Ave., Venice, Florida 34285 on January 8, 2024, 3-7 PM. A funeral mass will be held on January 9th, 11:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes, Venice, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center, 33 Warner Rd, PO Box 1805, Huntington, NY 11743-0470.
