Antoinette P. Sicard, Affectionately known by many as “Tonie” She was born in Great Barrington, MA to Angelo and Pauline Piredda. She graduated from Searles High School in Massachusetts and worked at W.T. Grant, Melvin’s Drug Store, Home Gas and owner of Tonie’s Italian Store. She was an accountant/bookkeeper for the garment industry in New York City. She was employed at a Data Processing Center, then worked for Bull Chevrolet in Lenox, MA for twelve years and Daly Chevrolet in Westfield, MA for ten years. Tonie loved dancing, playing cards, mahjong, swimming, cooking Italian food and entertaining guests. She enjoyed traveling, sewing her own clothes, theatre, shopping, gardening, and making sand dollar crafts. She has a beautiful collection of Tweety Bird. She will always be remembered for her impeccable fashion, her soft voice, friendly smile, and her nightly dish of ice cream. She ended every phone call with Bye - Bye for now. She will live on in the hearts and memory of those who loved her. Tonie married Roy Sicard in Westfield, MA in 1982 until his death in 1989. She moved with Roy to the warm weather at a adult retirement park in Englewood, FL in 1988. In 2001 she sold the home in Englewood and purchased a villa at Pelican Pointe in Venice, FL. She continued to live in her villa as her health deteriorated over the last few years and was blessed with a wonderful helper, Robyn, whom she loved dearly. Robyn often brought her two young sons Landon and Levi to visit “Aunt Tonie”. They always left with a chocolate treat. When her health started failing, she moved to the Pavilion Assisted Living until her passing. She prayed every night that God would take her in her sleep when it was her time. On January 31, 2024, God honored her request and took her home while she was peacefully sleeping. She enjoyed visits from her niece and nephew, Kathy and Bob Corriveau and from her cousins, Joe and Corinne Sini. She enjoyed many visits from her friend Kris who lived in Ft. Myers, FL. They were very compatible and enjoyed many special times together-especially playing hand and foot card game. Tonie was always grateful that she lived a blessed and full life. In sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life through our Lord, Jesus Christ, we commend to Almighty God our sister in Christ, Tonie. We commit her body to it’s final resting place; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, and dust to dust. May the Lord bless her and keep her, May the Lord make His face shine upon her and be gracious to her, May the Lord lift up his countenance upon her and give her peace. {Numbers 6:24-26) Tonie requested that her ashes be spread at the Venice Jetty.
