It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Gary “Jigger” Storti, age 77, of Great Barrington, Massachusetts and wintering in Venice, Florida. Gary passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024 while leaving behind a legacy of service to others and sharing of his work ethic and electrical knowledge. He had a energetic character, and an un-filtered way of making us all laugh, although his great desire was being out working on most anything. Born on September 17, 1946 to Leon and Virginia Storti, he grew up in Housatonic, Massachusetts then family moved to Miami, Florida and then back to the Berkshires, where he made his home in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He graduated from Searles High School in Great Barrington, class of 1964. He was a graduate of McCann Tech electrical program, where he excelled and built a career owning his business of Storti Electric. He was always found sharing his electrical knowledge and experience for 60 years throughout his Berkshire community. Gary is preceded in death by his pride and joy, his son Ryan Storti and his brother, Tom Storti. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Storti; his brother, Brian of Arizona and sister, Karen of Berkshire County and his many nieces and nephews. He took great joy in wintering in Venice, loved watching NASCAR races and helping friends wherever needed. It is hoped his memory will bring a smile to have known his energetic, un-filtered nature and will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him, may he rest in peace. A memorial gathering will be held in Venice at Farley Funeral Home on April 27, 2024 at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund at https://kidneyfund.org/give.
