Anna Jamieson “Jamie” King born on August 12, 1946 in Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on April 27, 2024 at her residence in North Venice, Florida. She was a former resident of Winter Park and Tampa, FL, Tazewell and Roanoke, VA, Ft. Myers, FL and Dunwoody, GA, prior to moving to North Venice in 2012. Jamie was a bank teller and Administrative Assistant at Sun Bank in Tampa and Barnett Bank in Winter Park, FL. She grew up as an “Army Brat” and moved with family to various base locations in North Carolina, Oklahoma and others where her father was stationed. Jamie was always a strong supporter of the military and first responders. Her family settled in Orlando where she attended Edgewater High School. Jamie was an excellent cook and homemaker, taking great pride in maintaining a beautiful, spotless home. She was her husband’s strongest supporter throughout his career; always managing their many moves for job changes and transfers. She enjoyed several collector stages in her life, including antiques, samplers and stuffed bears. Jamie loved all animals, especially her cats, Riley and Gracie, and was diligent about feeding the birds and caring for her plants. She was an avid reader of novels and liked watching real estate and veterinary TV shows, as well as QVC. She is survived by her loving husband, William (Bill) King of North Venice; her daughter, Lisa Davis of Eustis, Florida; grandchildren, Emily Buckner of Florida, Austin Davis, of Florida, Megan Davis of Tennessee and her great grandchildren, Ava, Kali, Lyla, Cole, Camden, and Elijah. Jamie was preceded in death by her father, Major William P. Brazile; mother, Doris Robinson Kenyon; stepfather, Richard Kenyon and great-grandson, Landon. A Celebration of Life service will be private for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Inc (www.tidewellhospice.org) or to the Cat Depot in Sarasota, FL (www.catdepot.harnessgiving.org).
