Gwendolyn Gale (Lovelady) Williams, 87, of Westminster, CO, passed away at home on May 22, 2024, with her husband and granddaughter by her side.
Gwen was born in Penokee, KS on January 22, 1937, to the late Adrian and Florence Lovelady.
Gwen was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Gwen is survived by her sister Lavon (Lovelady) Kesler, husband Lyle Williams, son, Bill Williams (Tammy), Rodney Williams (Nancy), daughter, Teresa Kirkland, Devi Williams (Michael), grandchildren, Nicole Alvarez (Alex), Jena Primm (Jared), Cassie Pieterick (Matt), Blake Williams (Danielle), Tyler Prokop, Adrian Williams (Kim), Brendan Bruso (Tyana), Xandra Williams-Kirkland. Plus 7 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Gaby, Rylee, Owen, Emery and Jaxon.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Adrian Lovelady and Florence (Thompson) Lovelady, daughter Audrey Williams, brothers George Lovelady, Kenneth Lovelady, Billie Lovelady, sister, Beverly Winkel and brother-in-law Virgil Kesler.
Gwen married Lyle Thomas Williams on March 20, 1954 in Hill City, KS. They moved to Colorado in 1958. Gwen was a housewife and raised there 4 children. She was a very passionate woman. She loved her family, and she loved her flowers, especially her African violets. She was also known for her hand-crafted porcelain dolls. She was very talented and loved to craft with her granddaughters when they were young.
Gwen may not physically be with us, but her spirit lives on through memories and the love she had for us.
Her memorial will take place at the Hill City Christian Church in Hill City, KS on October 5th, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Address is 122 N Pomeroy, Hill City, KS 67642.
She will be buried in the family plot at the Hill City Cemetery after the ceremony.
