Audrey Lee "Dolores" Weller Gadevsky, affectionately known as "Oma" by her grandchildren and their friends, passed away peacefully from natural causes on May 5th, 2024, at the age of 91 in Seminole, FL. Born in Bakersfield, California, she was the youngest of four children, and preceded in death by her three older brothers, Wendell, Milton, and Robert. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Danielle, and leaves behind a legacy rich in love and music.

Dolores' life was a symphony of dedication to her passion for the piano. She received a Doctor of Music Arts in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music and was honored with a Fulbright Grant to study at the Musikhochschule (University of Music) in Freiburg, Germany. She earned the Performer’s Diploma from the Music Academy in Vienna, Austria, where she spent eight years as a performer, an accompanist and teacher.Her career took her around the globe, from Europe to South America, and eventually back to the United States. Dolores served as a faculty member at the Eastman School of Music, Los Angeles Conservatory, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and the University of Central Arkansas. Her talent and dedication as a performer and educator were celebrated worldwide, influencing countless students and audiences.Dolores devoted her life to sharing her musical gifts, performing internationally and teaching with passion at Houghton University and St. Petersburg College. Her legacy is one of unwavering commitment to the arts and education, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, students, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.Beyond her musical achievements, Dolores was a passionate Christian, well-read in the classics and a lifelong pursuer of Christ. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was a model of faithful devotion. She constantly imparted Godly wisdom and insights from her experiences and prayer life to all those around her, enriching the lives of family, friends, and students with her spiritual guidance.Dolores' memory will live on in the hearts of her family, students, and all those whose lives she touched.
