Robert Edward Bray Sr. age 86 of Waddy, Kentucky was born on December 3, 1937 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Spencer K and Eunice Jesse (Myrick) Bray and departed this life on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Frankfort Regional Hospital. Robert was a member of Waddy Baptist Church, he enjoyed traveling out West, hunting, fishing and was a craftsman. Robert retired after 35 years from Stauble Machine & Tool in Louisville, Kentucky and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife: JoAnn Hamby Bray, his parents and 1 brother: Charles Bray.
Robert is survived by 4 children: Robert (Renee) Bray Jr., Michelle Bray, Wayne (Karen) Bray, Samantha Bray, 5 grandchildren: Kimberly Bray Miley, Chris Bray (Cassidy Irvin), Brandon bray, Aaron (Mandi) Adams, Christopher Adams (Chelsea Caines). Robert also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren; Andrew Miley, Josh Miley, Will Miley, Keira Miley, Daphne Miley, Chloe Miley, Hailey Miley, Ayden Bray, Easton Adams, Callum Adams, Jadyn Gilreath, Cole Gilreath and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bray, Brandon Bray, Aaron Adams, Christopher Adams, Andrew Miley, Josh Miley and Will Miley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ayden Bray, Easton Bray and Kimberly Miley.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Clark Legacy Center - Frankfort with Bro. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 after 9 a.m. until time for services at the funeral home.
