Mary Sue entered her Heavenly Home on   28 May 2024. She was born on 29 April 1947 in Texarkana, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles Edgar Doyle Jr and Maude Sue Johnson Doyle.  She is survived by her brothers James, William, and John David and her late husband Bob’s three children Luci, Carl, and Ray, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bob, brother Charles, and sister Elizabeth Doyle Williams .

Mary grew up as a military child and lived in various locations in Texas and Alaska.  She graduated in 1965 from MacArthur High School in San Antonio and attended the University of Texas in Austin, where she received her nursing degree. She was a nurse for almost 40 years and lived in San Antonio and Salt Lake City before settling in Las Vegas.  She worked for many years at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, where she served as the Director of Quality Control before she retired. Mary pursued many passions in retirement, including sewing, needlework, knitting, crocheting, reading, playing bridge, and spoiling her two cats Max and Minnie.

Her memorial service will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas NM on 28 June at 10:30 AM Mountain Daylight Time.  The service will be streamed live on Zoom and can be accessed at lvpresbyterian.org

The family is grateful for the loving care she received from the staff of La Vida Buena and the dialysis team at Fresenius Kidney Care in Las Vegas.  Mary will be greatly missed by her family and her long-time neighbors, John and Andrea Martinez and Peter and Carol Linder, and former coworker Anita Encinas.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the ASPCA or the National Kidney Foundation.
