With great sadness it is announced, Lyle Dean Bowen passed May 22, 2024 at the age of 68. He was born May 29, 1955 in San Diego, California and later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with his family where he lived the remainder of his life. Despite the truth that Lyle was unfairly bridled with learning issues, he was very proud of being a soldier in the United States Army and equally proud of being the owner of Bowen Security Services as well as a member of the Cherokee Nation. He loved good food, good friends, his Bearded Dragon, Gwangee, and his dog Caesar. He met friends everywhere he went and maintained a lovable, youthful attitude his entire life and grew up to be a very kind and gentle person.

He is survived by his sisters Lori Laiche and Ella Stoakes and their husbands Thomas Laiche and Jim Stoakes. He is predeceased by his parents Ret. Maj. Charles R. Bowen, USAF and Doris L. Bowen. Lyle had no children and never married.

Special acknowledgement is made to The Raymond G. Murphy Veteran's Hospital as well as the Fresenuis Kidney Center in Los Lunas for the loving care they gave Lyle.

In keeping with Lyle's love of Army, he will be laid to rest with Full Honors at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a date to be announced.
