Jeronimo Ocamica passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on May 13, 2024. Jeronimo was 90 years old.

Jeronimo was born on July 20,1933 in Gizaburuaga, Bizkaia to Jose Mari Ocamica and Julianna Jayo.

He came to the United State in 1954 thinking that he would only work a couple of years and move back to Bizkaia. Instead he ended up staying here for over 70 years. He worked for Hammett Livestock for many years as their foreman and later at Simplot Livestock as their night watchman.

In 1976 he married the love of his life Agustina and they had their daughter, Goisalde. He loved his family with all his heart but he especially loved his two grand daughters Gabriella and Jenna. He lived to hear all there sports and academic accomplishments.

He is survived by his wife Agustina, his daughter Goisalde (Jeff) Jausoro and his two grand daughters Gabriella and Jenna Jausoro all of Mountain Home, ID. He is also survived by his sister Santa, brother Gregorio, sister in law Marie, sister in law Ynes all of Bizkaia and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at St Lukes Elmore and especially Dr Karen Galvan, Dr Megan Sandmann and Brenda Tapp. They would also like to thank Bobbie Spencer and Melanie Ysursa from Journeys Hospice. They were angels and we will never forget what you both did for our Aita and Aitxitxe.

The Ocamica family would like to invite family and friends to a viewing that will be held Wednesday May 29th, 2024, at 5pm, immediately preceding a Rosary Service, at 6pm, at Rost Funeral Home 500 N. 18 E. Mountain Home ID, 83647. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. May 30th, 2024, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Mountain Home.

We Entrusted Jeronimo Ocamica's Care To

Rost Funeral Home

As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
