Paul Keith Guynes, 87, of Ione, CA passed away May 1, 2024, at home peacefully with his wife, Jean by his side. He was born on September 9, 1936, in Chickasha, OK to Charles and Lilly (Scates) Guynes.
As a young child his family relocated to California. Paul enjoyed archery, bowling, fishing, caring for his property and woodworking projects. He enjoyed quality time with friends and family as well as hosting the annual get together in Fiddletown, always hoping to win the horseshoe tournament. Paul was very proud of his Chickasaw heritage and enjoyed attending the meetings.
He was preceded in death by: Charles and Lilly Guynes, Lois Guynes, his wife of 52 years, Ronald Guynes (son) and Tiffani Maier (Granddaughter). Paul is survived by: wife, Jean Guynes; daughters, Lynette Maier (Phil), Nancy Guynes; stepchildren, Kristine Giannini, Michael Bean (Misty). Paul is a very proud grandfather and great grandfather to many and will be missed dearly.
The family will be holding a private burial. A Celebration of Life, open to all, will be held at the family residence on May 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.danerimortuary.com
