"Monson - Laurie A. (Gaudreau) Salois, 50, of Main St., passed away on April 9, 2011 at home. She was born in Springfield, MA on June 13, 1960, daughter of the late Leon H. Gaudreau and Joan (Karaniewski) Gaudreau of Thorndike. Laurie was raised in Palmer and graduated from Pathfinder Regional High School. She has been a resident of Monson since 1987. Laurie had a love for all animals especially cats. She also enjoyed caring for her family and loved to cook. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael Salois of Monson and a brother Dennis Gaudreau of Three Rivers. She also leaves two nieces Sheila Straight and Sherri Flynn both of Ware, mother-in-law Rollande Salois of Palmer and her aunt Stephanie Hull of Monson. Laurie was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Gaudreau and a sister Gail Arsenault. Services will be held Sat., Apr. 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101. "
