"Veryl V. Poirier, 82, died Friday March 9, 2007 at his home in Casselberry, FL. Born on June 11, 1924 in Essex Junction, VT; he was the son of the late Jerome and Ethel (Provost) Poirier. He lived in Holyoke for many years and relocated to Casselberry, FL in 1990. He founded Veryl’s Automotive Services in 1947, originally located in Holyoke, and operated the company for 40 years before retiring and passing the business to his son Denis in 1987. He enjoyed fixing cars and traveling abroad. He and his wife also enjoyed many cruises together, and he most especially enjoyed his “Cottage” on Forge Pond in Granby. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Claire G.(Brien), as well as his two children, Denis and his wife Mary Ann of South Hadley and Suzanne Wright and her husband Robert of Chicopee. He also leaves his four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Wendy, Susan and Gregory along with his seven great grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Patrick, Ryan, Stephanie, Rachel and Hanna. His brother James Poirier of Cottonwood, CA, sisters Madeline Charbono of Littleton, CO, Alice Houk of Winter Springs, FL and Eileen Charest of Apopka, FL and his close friend John McNeil of FL also survive him. His brothers George, Armand, Arthur, Jerome Jr., Herbert, Francis, and Reginald, and sisters Verna and Esther predeceased him. >br<>br
