"Chicopee-Clyde H. Strange, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 14, 2017. He was born in North Adams, MA to the late Hervie R. and Irene (Babeu) Strange. Clyde was married to Cynthia (Young) for 61 wonderful years. He proudly served in country in the US Army and worked at Smith and Wesson for 36 years until he retired in 1993. In the last few years, he lived at Wingate at South Hadley, where he made great friends and grew to love Bingo. Besides his loving wife, Clyde is survived by two daughters, Sharyn Zuffelato and her husband Michael, Sheila Patrie and her husband Paul, his son, Kevin, and grandchildren, Keeana Guyott and husband Michael as well as Zane Patrie. Clyde also leaves his sister, Joan Bachelder and her husband Hiram along with uncle, Kenneth Young in addition to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves a son, Keith Strange. Clyde was predeceased by his brother, George Strange. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 18th from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home with a service and military honors at 2pm on Wednesday at the MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
