"Palmer - Grace A. (Hayes) Sheehan, 84, died on July 12, 2017. Born April 7, 1933 in Northampton, MA, daughter of Oswald and Effie (Whitcomb) Hayes. Grace was raised in Cummington, MA and moved to Northampton before residing in Palmer in 1962. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Monson Developmental Center for over 30 years. Grace was an active member of the Second Baptist Church of Palmer. Throughout her life, she actively volunteered in various organizations. She will be deeply missed by three children, Richard Sheehan and his wife (Maggie) of Vestal, NY, Kathleen Ingoglia of Doylestown, PA and Colleen "Kelly" Laviolette of W. Brookfield. She is also survived by her sister, Alice LaFleur of Hadley, four precious grandchildren, Alexander, Christina, George and Josephine. Grace was preceded in death by husband, Richard C. Sheehan and a brother Irving Hayes. Services will be held on Monday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery.
