"Bondsville section of Palmer - Bella L. (LaBonte) O’Dell, 76, lifelong resident of South High Street passed away February 28, 2007 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. where her and her husband wintered since 1995. Born May 3, 1930 in Indian Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Leo H. and Laura (Deslaurier) LaBonte. Bella was a communicant of St. Bartholomew’s Church and formerly worked at Turley Publications for 10 years. In her leisure, she enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and playing cards with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Maurice R. O’Dell, Sr. and six children Maurice R. O’Dell, Jr. “Skip” and his wife Linda of Enville, TN, Michael R. O’Dell and companion Steve Lapham of Oakland Park, FL, Mary R. Murphy and her husband Paul of Monson, Mark R. O’Dell and his wife Michelle of Mission Viejo, CA, Margaret R. O’Dell of Vero Beach, FL and Marvin R. O’Dell and his wife Kathy of Palmer. She will also be missed by two brothers Francis LaBonte and his wife Mary Lou of Brimfield and Raymond LaBonte and his wife Eva of Palmer, three sisters Rita Chicklowski of Brimfield, Rosella Janulewicz of Three Rivers and Loretta Madden and her husband Thomas of Belchertown and fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Bella was predeceased by a son Miles R. O’Dell in 1979 a sister Doris Pobieglo and a brother Leo LaBonte, Jr. A funeral service will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by a Mass in St. Bartholomew’s Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in the spring.
