"Three Rivers section of Palmer Charles Lester Reagan, 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Earl and Eula (Lopasser) Reagan and was born in Sevier County, Tennessee. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for eight years as an Aviation Machinist's Mate Second Class VR6 and participated in the Berlin Airlift. While stationed at Westover Air Force Base, he married Doris (Berry). The couple made their home in Three Rivers and were married for 44 years. He worked as a spring manufacturer and co-owned Palmer Spring & Specialty, Inc. for over 30 years and was a member of AMVETS Post 74. He had a good sense of humor and was famous for his country quips. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his infant granddaughter Shannon Kelliher, grandson Charles Sawicki, son-in-law L. Patrick Kelliher, brother Jimmy Reagan and sisters Flo Gibson, Mabel Murphy and Billie Bates. He is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl Sawicki and husband Stephen of Three Rivers, and Colleen Kelliher of Bondsville, granddaughter Kathleen Connelly and husband Brian of Monson, grandson, Shawn Kelliher of Chicopee, brother Everette Reagan and wife Gail of Tennessee and sister-in-law Ruth (Berry) Stevens of Fort Myers, FL, former wife Nancy (McLaughlin) Reagan and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved dog, Belle. His family will receive friends at Beers and Story Funeral Home, Palmer, MA, on Sunday, March 27 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Burial services with military honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield, MA. "
