"Belchertown, Margaret “Dixie” (Donovan) Fugazzi, 69, of Old Bay Road, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at home. Born in Malden, May 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Dorothy M. (Douglass) Donovan. Dixie lived in S. Hadley from 1972 – 1988, then she and her family relocated to Belchertown. She served in the Air Force as a Registered Nurse, and also worked for the Holyoke Soldier’s Home and Mount Marie. She also worked for Hospice of Hampshire County and Applewood in Amherst. Dixie most recently received her training as a Reiki Master and was a foot care nurse. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 43 years, Gino, along with her daughters Kathy Ferreira and her husband Andy of Holmdel, NJ, and Anne Riegel and her husband Robert of Colorado Springs, CO. She also leaves two brothers Francis Donovan of Manassas, VA, and William Donovan of Pittsfield, and her six grandchildren Emily and Matthew Ferreira, Billy, Maggie, Mary and Jessica Riegel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Church. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. in the Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in her memory to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445. "
