"Brooksville, FL, SCHAFER, Robert John, 89 of Brooksville, FL, died Mon., March 7, 2011. He moved to Brooksville 35 years ago from his native, Springfield, MA. He was a retired firefighter for the City of Springfield, retired school bus driver for the Hernando County School System, a WWII U.S. Navy Seabee, member of the Aripeka Elks Lodge #2520, Fraternal Order of Eagles #3153 of New Port Richey, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #51 of Spring Hill and St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville. Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law: John R. & Catherine Schafer of Spring Hill; along with grandchildren: Daniel, Stephen, Michael & Nathaniel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys. Visitation for friends will be Monday, March 14, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. A procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for an interment service at 11:00 at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. "
