"William C, Ibsen, 66, of Mountain View St., died, Friday, February 9, 2007 at his home as he wished. Born in Holyoke, March 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Christian and Eva (Brittain) Ibsen. He grew up in Holyoke and moved to South Hadley where he has lived for most of his life. Bill was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp. and a graduate of UMASS Amherst. Professionally, Bill worked as a financial services agent for various insurance companies in the area for the past twenty five years. He was an avid motorcyclist and NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 41 years, Carole (Clark) Ibsen, family members and many close friends. A memorial service will take place in the spring. Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Baystate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple St. P.O. Box 9058, Springfield, MA 01102-9058. "
