"Palmer - Georgina (Jackson) McKerr, 89, of S.Main St. died on February 17, 2011 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. She was born May 5, 1921 in Portadown County Armagh, Ireland, daughter of the late George and Eliza Ann (McCaughey) Jackson. Georgina has lived in Palmer since 1963, previously of Portadown, County Armagh, Ireland. She worked for 16 years in the kitchen at Monson Developmental Center and enjoyed her time at the Senior Center. Georgina was also an active member of Faith Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her sister Lucy Colgan of N.Ireland as well as her niece Elizabeth Clark, a nephew Jim Burke in Ireland, and nephew Raymond Howe and their families along with friends Doris McAdam, Sandy Jenkins and all the church family at Faith Baptist Church. Calling hours will be Wednesday Feb. 23rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a service on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring at Four Corners Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to Faith Baptist Church Memorial Fund."
