Helen L. Hino, 86, passed away on May 27, 2015 in Annandale, VA surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on June 23, 1928 in Linden, NJ. She married John W. Hino in 1946 at which time they relocated from NJ to the Washington DC area to begin their federal government careers. Helen retired in 1988 after 38 years with the Department of Defense, ending her career with Civilian Personnel Marine Corps. She was retired for less than one year when she returned to the work force at Group Health, Capital Hospice, and finally Congressional Federal Credit Union, leaving that position in March of this year. Helen is survived by her three daughters Debbie (Clyde) Brown of Louisville, KY, Jennifer Hino of Falls Church, VA,, and Janel (Pat Scully) Hino of Burtonsville, MD and her grandchildren Catherine and Jack Hino and Elizabeth (Matt)Lane with a soon to be born great grandchild. Helen was predeceased by her husband John in 1980 and her grandson Matthew in 2002. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Advent Funeral Services, 7211 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA from 1-3 PM on June 6 with a reception to follow.
