Stanley L. Rodenhauser, 78, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2019, leaving an enormous gap in the lives of many friends, family members, pilots and aviation enthusiasts around the globe. His interment is private. The family is asking those who wish to honor him to arrive at Freeway Airport by 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 25. The procession will take Stan on one final inspection of his airport before heading to the cemetery. A flyover will be visible from the airport. A public celebration of Stan and his life will be held on Friday, August 9 at 3:00PM at Freeway Airport, 3900 Church Road, Bowie, Maryland 20721. In keeping with Stan’s love of animals and in lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Stan’s memory be made to the animal rescue charity of your choice.
