Marie Carmelle Gauvin, ¨Maille¨ peacefully passed away on May 1st, 2015 at the age of 60 in her home with her family by her side. Born in Petit Goave, Haiti on February 21, 1955, she is the daughter of Marie Olga and Leonce Gauvin. Maille survived by her two daughters Magdalena & Mahalia and Stepsons Frantz & Monclas Jr. She was a wonderful and caring grandmother to Noah and Isaiah. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers Jacques, Surlette, Jean, Marie-Line, Michelle, Ginette, Olga, Barbara and Kettely. She was like a second mother to her nephews and nieces, Michael, Lephterie, Naomi, Paolini, Laurenzgo, Katy, Laurenee, Olvans, Kevans, Jahasia, Fatoo, and Sebastian, Lulu, Cayden, Kassidy, and Kolako. She was dearly loved by her brother in law Mohamed, and sons in law, Ronald and Andrew. Maille is predeceased by her beloved Papi Noel, her brother Serge, and nephew Booby. Maille lived a wonderful life filled with love, great joy, and a family who loved her with all their hearts. She was a beautiful person inside and out. With her great sense of humor, she had a way of making everyone feel great. She was the life of the party and she loved music. She had a long career as a travel agent in Haiti until she moved to Maryland to be closer to her family. She saw good in everybody, without being judgmental. Maille was a wonderful mother, a proud grandmother, and a friend of many. We will all miss her deeply. The memories we share with her will go on as she lives in our hearts forever. We love you Mommy Maille. Maille’s memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Laurel, 15000 First Baptist Lane, Laurel, MD 20707 on Tuesday, May 4, 2015 at 1:00pm.
