"Chicopee, MA, Vivianne M. (Lacombe) Lafrenaye, 85, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 12 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Holyoke, MA on August 22, 1925, she was the daughter of Romeo and Anita (Messier) Lacombe. Living in the Fairview section of Chicopee all her married life, she recently relocated to East Longmeadow in 2010. Vivianne was a communicant of St. Anne Church and a member of the St. Anne's Sodality Guild. As home and family were the center of her life, she will be sadly missed by her husband of 59 years, Harvey, along with their two daughters, Denise Paradis and husband Paul of Enfield, CT and Lisa Sechtman and husband Larry of Chesapeake, VA. She is survived by four grandchildren, Audrey, Marc and his fiancée Nikki, Sarah and Sean and her brother Donald of Aiken, SC. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edger, who died serving in WWII. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, February 17 at 9:00 a.m. at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St.(Rt. 116), followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Church in Chicopee. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anne Memorial Fund 30 College St. Chicopee, MA 01020.
