"Albert David Loizzo, 53, died Monday, January 15 at home. Born in Springfield, MA November 12, 1953, he is the son of Mary (Gamelli) Loizzo and the late Albert Loizzo. He resided in Springfield before relocating to Belchertown in 1994. David worked for Spalding Sports Worldwide as a Millwright for 32 years and most recently at Hasbro Games. He loved the outdoors, fishing, trips to North Truro and most especially spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 12 years, Susan (Mastalerz) Loizzo, their children, Nicholas of Belchertown, Valerie Loizzo and Adam both of RI, Christopher Novelli and his wife Lisa of Worcester and Michael Novelli and his fiancé Summer of IL and grandson Mark Loizzo. His sisters Patricia Innarelli and her husband Gary of GA and Gloria Maratea and her husband Anthony of Idaho, in-laws Stanley and Jeannette Mastalerz of Ludlow, and several sisters and brothers-in-laws, also survive him. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 20 at 10:00 am from the Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Church at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in South Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Nicholas Loizzo Education Fund c/o Country Bank, Main Street, Belchertown, MA 01007."
