Beloved wife of the late James R. Buscher, Jr.; loving mother of James (Joan), Paul (Meredith), and Matthew Buscher; cherished grandmother of Paul, Michael, Paige, Alex and Jessica; dear sister of Walter (Sandy) Alexander. Also survived by many relatives and friends. Betsy was a devout Roman Catholic and a lifelong member of St Ann’s Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. (Her uncle, the late Fr. Robert Dixon “Dick” Beattie, was the founding pastor of St. Ann’s). She delighted in bringing communion to patients at Virginia Hospital Center and Capital Caring Hospice. She was a strong soul with a gentle disposition who could light up any room with her smile. Friends may call at Advent Funeral Services in Falls Church, Va on Monday, January 12 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Ann Catholic Church, 5300 10th Street North, Arlington, VA 22205 on Tuesday, January 13 at 10am. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Ann Catholic Church.
