July 28, 1925 – December 22, 2014 We celebrate the life and mourn the death of Ruth Van Cleve, beloved mother and grandmother; accomplished lawyer and civil servant; graduate and enthusiastic advocate of Mount Holyoke College. She passed peacefully in her sleep after six weeks of hospice care that provided the opportunity for touching and meaningful times with family and friends. She is survived by her children: John, Elizabeth (Libby), and David Van Cleve; their spouses: Susan Van Cleve, Jack Vees, and Marleigh White; and five grandchildren: Raymond and Margaret Van Cleve; Nola Vees, and Sally and Samuel Van Cleve. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Arlington Unitarian Church, 4444 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA, 22204.
