"Wales - Ronald E. Graham Sr., passed away quietly at home on May 1, 2017. Born May 29, 1938 in Springfield, he was the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Bigalow) Graham. Ronald has lived in Wales since 1968, previously of Springfield. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a truck driver for many years. For over 30 years, Ron and his wife Edie, were the foster parents to many beloved children. Ron enjoyed the ocean, fishing, swimming, sailing, growing strawberries and was a member of a chess club. Feb. 16, 2017, Ron was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Edith M. (Supernant) and he will be dearly missed by his children, Debra Stine and Gary of Southbridge, Donna Laviolette and Michael of Three Rivers, Ronald Graham, Jr. of Windsor Locks, CT, Susan O'Connell of Ware and Anthony Graham of Southbridge along with 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2017, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm with a closing prayer at 2:00 p.m. at the Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wales #4 Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Shriner's Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104. "
