"Wales-Ernest A. Lancaster, 78, of Dell Hill Rd., passed away December 26, 2006 at home with his family by his side. Born July 9, 1928 in Volant, PA, he was the son of the late Ernest A. and Lydia (Thompson) Lancaster. He served his country in WWII in the U.S. Navy. Ernest has lived in Wales for the past 12 years, previously of Agawam. He has worked in the transportation industry for over 50 years, most recently employed by Carriage Town Transportation in Belchertown. Ernest is survived by his wife Patricia C. (Von Hoene), and eight children, Michael of Pittsfield, ME, Maureen Romanoski of New Cumberland, PA, Kevin of Templeton, MA, Kelly Ayotte of Longmeadow, Richard and Daniel, both of Ft. Meyers, FL, David of Wales, and Matthew of W.Springfield. He also leaves a sister Eleanor Wells of Kissimmee, FL, a brother Albert of Ohio along with thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Kenneth Vaughn. Funeral services will be privately held and Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
