Roberto Kagaoan Bautista, of Arlington, Virginia, passed away on July 1, 2019. He was 73 years old. He was the beloved husband of Virginia Lee Bautista; the loving father of Jaime Lee Bautista (Arlene), Robert Lee Bautista (Pauline), and Sheila Bautista Toothill (Charles); grandfather of Emilia and Charlie Roberto Toothill; and grand-uncle to Christy, Emily, and Ashley Bautista. Roberto was born in the Philippines and proudly served for 11.5 years in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. For more than 30 years, he worked in the laboratory and blood bank of INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital, where he was honored as the hospital’s Man of the Year. He devoted his life to his family, and everybody who knew him were touched by his warmth, humor, generosity and kindness. On Friday, July 5, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., a Funeral Mass celebrating Roberto’s life will be held in the chapel of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 5300 10th Street, Arlington, VA 22205. A reception will follow at the church’s Parish Hall. A funeral service with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on a date to be announced.
