Joe Miller Wright Jr. Miller Wright, a veteran New York theatre publicist, died unexpectantly July 18, 2013 at his home in New York. He was born June 26, 1954 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Joe Sr. and Jean Adams Wright. He grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Myers Park High School. Miller also graduated from Lees-McRae College, Appalachian State University and attended the Circle in the Square Theater School. Miller entered the entertainment field as both publicist and a personal manager in 1986. He worked for many years at Shirley Herz and Associates and later at the Lincoln Center. In 2001 he formed Miller Wright and Associates where he represented stage shows, particularly cabaret productions. Miller also represented a number of individual artists. Miller is survived by two sisters, Linda Wright Croner and her husband, Jeff of Rockwell, NC, Joni Wright Demera and her husband, Carlos of Charlotte, and Heidi Wilson, his Finnish sister, and her husband, George of Charlotte; and nieces and nephews, Keith Scott, Tracey Croner, Stephen and Gabriela Demera. A service to celebrate Miller's life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Providence United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service. Memorials may be sent to the Providence United Methodist Church, 2810 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28211.
