Mary A. Kirkpatrick
July 28th, 1927 - January 10th, 2015
"Chicopee - Mary A. (O'Connor) Kirkpatrick, 87, passed away surrounded by her family on January 10, 2015. She was born July 28, 1927 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Michael and Anna (Adamowicz) O'Connor. Mary was raised in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High in 1945. She graduated from the Providence Hospital Nursing School as class President in 1948. Mary worked at Providence Hospital, with Dr. Edward McHugh, and retired from the Holyoke Soldiers' Home as a registered nurse in 1988. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Howard S. Kirkpatrick of Chicopee, three children, Maura Kirkpatrick, Paula Kirkpatrick of Belchertown and Howard S. Kirkpatrick, II and his wife Tracy of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Her sister Margaret Leader and several nieces and nephews will also miss her. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in S. Hadley. Burial will be private and calling hours are omitted. Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, was entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Thomas J.
