We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved, William JD Charboneau, Jr. on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Bill, as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on March 27, 1963, to William JD Charboneau, Sr. and Alice Jean Charboneau in Phoenix, Arizona. His sincere laugh and generous spirit extended far beyond his family and left a legacy of love, laughter, and service. Bill spent 20 years in the US Navy, serving his country, most notably during the Gulf War aboard the USS Wisconsin (BB64). He retired in June of 2000 as a Chief Warrant Officer. He spent the next several years working in a variety of positions for Pavestone, Oldcastle, Kraft Curing, and recently Smith-Midland. Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his devoted wife, Judith Charboneau, daughters, Dominique, Brigitte, and Aubrey, sons, DJ and Lonnie, grandsons, Sparrow, Rory, and Keen, mother, Alice, brothers, Charles, Jeffrey, George, Dean, sister, Cheryl, and many nieces and nephews who all loved their “Uncle Billy.” The family is honoring Bill’s wish not to have a memorial service. The family would like to request that in honor of Bill, please consider donating to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation (https://give.huntsmancancer.org/page/66450/donate/1) with gift designation to Gastrointestinal Cancers or to Final Victory Animal Rescue (finalvictoryrescue.com) South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
